The BlinkLink Collector is a collection tool designed to capture and process video engagement analytics and customer behaviour analysis. It allows marketers to track and analyse user interactions on their websites or applications. It is available as part of BlinkLink video SDK, no separate integration is required.

The Collector works by embedding a lightweight JavaScript tracking code into channels and streams. When users interact with these video commerce elements, the tracking code generates events that capture relevant information such as clicks, page views, form submissions, and custom events. These events are then sent to the BlinkLink Collector service for processing.

The collector service acts as a central hub, receiving and storing the event data. It can handle high volumes of data and supports parallel processing to ensure efficient data ingestion. The collected events are stored in Apache Kafka and Apache Hadoop (refer architecture below).

Once the events are stored, video engagement clients can leverage analytics tools or data pipelines to process and analyse the data.
